The project aims to examine the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered autonomous agents in organizations, with a focus on responsible digital transformation. The integration of AI-powered autonomous agents in organizations is becoming increasingly prevalent, yet there is a lack of understanding on how to effectively adopt and use these technologies for responsible digital transformation. The project will address this knowledge gap by conducting a comprehensive study in four stages: a literature review, an empirical study on how AI-powered autonomous agents can facilitate responsible digital transformation, an empirical study on the adoption of AI-powered autonomous agents, and a synthesis and recommendations paper.
